Ying (Alison) Cheng, PhD

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME

Dr. Cheng received her PhD in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has been a faculty member at the University of Notre Dame since 2008. She is currently the Editor of the British Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology. Research interests include theoretical development and applications of item response theory, computerized adaptive testing, differential item functioning (DIF), and cognitive diagnostic modeling.

G. Gage Kingsbury, Ph.D

PRIVATE CONSULTANT

Dr. Kingsbury received his PhD in Psychology from the University of Minnesota. He is a private consultant working with agencies that are implementing computer-based testing in education and the professions. He most recently served as a Senior Research Fellow for the Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA). Dr. Kingsbury has served as one of the authors of the ACE and ATP guidelines for computer-based testing. He also serves as a technical advisor to the national nursing licensure test. He is currently President of the International Association for Computerized Adaptive Testing (IACAT). Research interests include: adaptive testing, item response theory and computer-based testing.

Mark D. Reckase, Ph.D

UNIVERSITY DISTINGUISHED PROFESSOR, MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY

Dr. Reckase received his PhD in Psychology from Syracuse University. He has been a faculty member in College of Education at the University of Missouri - Columbia and Michigan State University. He was previously Assistant Vice President at ACT, Inc. Dr. Reckase was a past editor of the Journal of Educational Measurement and Applied Psychological Measurement. Research interests include: item response theory, computerized adaptive testing, standard setting, value-added modeling and international comparisons of educational systems.

Steven L. Wise, Ph.D

SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW, NORTHWEST EVALUATION ASSOCIATION

Dr. Wise received his PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has been a faculty member at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and James Madison University. He was previous Vice President of Research and Development for the Northwest Evaluation Association. Research interests include: applied educational measurement, computer-based assessment, analysis of examinee test-taking effort, individual score validity and psychology of test taking.

April L. Zenisky, Ed.D.

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS AMHERST

Dr. Zenisky received her Ed.D. in psychometrics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is the lead psychometrician and project manager for the Massachusetts Adult Proficiency Test (MAPT).  She currently serves as co-editor of Practical Assessment, Research, and Evaluation. Research interests include results reporting, standard setting, technology-enhanced item formats, and computer-adaptive testing.
