Panel discussion with nursing industry experts about the importance of the ÐÔÊӽ紫ýID, the one true unique nurse identifier. The ÐÔÊӽ紫ýID identifies nurses across systems and throughout their careers, providing vital nursing data while protecting their personally identifiable information (PII).

This webinar will provide an overview of a critical procedure that ensures all examinees have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and abilities on entry-level content when taking the NCLEX. We will explain the methodology of differential item functioning (DIF) that is used to ensure that each item is measuring all diverse subgroups in the same way. Engaging in on-going item analysis is part of keeping the NCLEX a reliable and valid licensure exam where each examinee has an equal opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge. This study reports the importance ratings for activities performed by certified entry-level nurse aides/nursing assistants (NAs) employed in various health care settings. The findings from this study are used to evaluate the validity of the test plan, content outline and examination questions for the nurse aide certification examination.
