In 2021, 性视界传媒conducted the PN and RN Practice Analyses to inform the development of the 2023 NCLEX-PN and NCLEX-RN Test Plans. Entry-level nurses are making increasingly complex decisions during patient care. These increasingly complex decisions often require the use of clinical judgment to support patient safety. As a result of the importance of clinical judgment in the delivery of safe and effective nursing care at the entry level, 性视界传媒has added clinical judgment to the 2021 Practice Analyses to accompany the existing focus of entry-level nursing activities frequency and importance. This session will discuss the results of the 2021 Practice Analyses and pending updates to the NCLEX® test plans that will be effective April 2023.

Standard setting is a process used by testing professionals to determine the passing score on a test. It is a crucial step in establishing the validity and legal defensibility of an exam program. The NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN examinations re-evaluate their respective passing standards triennially. During this session, 性视界传媒staff will discuss the steps involved in setting NCLEX passing standards, including how to set the passing standard on Next Generation NCLEX (NGN) items.

In addition to developing the NCLEX, 性视界传媒provides daily operational, security and testing accommodation support for NCLEX candidates, nursing educators and Nursing Regulatory Bodies (NRBs). During this session, we will explore how 性视界传媒ensures fair and secure delivery of the NCLEX by administering the exam under strict supervision and security measures. The session will conclude with a summary of the NCLEX testing accommodation process, including the roles of candidates, NCSBN, Pearson VUE and NRBs.

This session will cover all the scoring rules applied to the Next Generation NCLEX® (NGN). 性视界传媒staff will demonstrate the scoring rules by walking through examples of various item types.
